What is the Vield Non-Custodial Mastercard?

The Vield Non-Custodial Mastercard gives you full control over your crypto assets while offering the convenience of everyday spending. Unlike traditional crypto cards, you directly connect your DeFi wallet and maintain complete ownership of your funds.

Card Issuer

The Virtual Prepaid Mastercard is issued by Immersve Pty Ltd (ABN 93 658 192 057, AFSL Number 545925) pursuant to license by Mastercard. Vield Capital Pty Ltd (ABN 38 672 205 113, AR No. 1310503) is an Authorised Representative of Immersve and acts as the distributor and promoter of the card.

How the Card Works

When you make a purchase:

  1. USDC is deducted from your Vield card balance
  2. The amount is instantly converted at the USDC/AUD market rate
  3. The transaction is completed in merchant currency

How to Apply

Step-by-Step Application

  1. Log in to the Vield web app
  2. Click the 'Card' tab on the left menu
  3. Click 'Add New Card'
  4. Accept the Terms & Conditions
  5. Connect your wallet (Metamask, Phantom, etc.) and click 'Confirm'
  6. Enter the USDC amount for your initial top-up
  7. Click 'Transfer'

Prerequisites

  • Verified Vield account (KYC complete)
  • DeFi wallet with USDC on Polygon network
  • MATIC tokens in your wallet for gas fees

Topping Up Your Card

How to Top Up

  1. Log in to the Vield web app
  2. Click the 'Card' tab on the left menu
  3. Click 'Card Details'
  4. Click 'Add Crypto' on the top right
  5. Enter the USDC amount
  6. Click 'Transfer'

Supported Cryptocurrency

  • Currently accepted: USDC on Polygon network only
  • Future support: More cryptocurrencies and networks will be added. Contact support@vield.io if you have specific requests.

Gas Fees

  • You pay network gas fees (in MATIC) to your wallet provider for each transfer
  • Vield does not charge top-up fees
  • Ensure your wallet has sufficient MATIC before topping up

Top-Up Limits

  • Minimum: No minimum limit
  • Daily maximum: 5,000 USDC per day
  • Annual maximum: 150,000 USDC per year

Using Your Card

Where You Can Use the Card

Use the Vield Non-Custodial Mastercard anywhere Mastercard is accepted:

  • Online purchases
  • In-app purchases
  • Subscription services
  • Digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay)

Note: Some merchants may not accept prepaid cards. This is at the merchant's discretion.

For Online Purchases

  1. Log in to the Vield web app
  2. Click the 'Card' tab
  3. Click 'Show Details'
  4. Copy card number, expiry date, and CVV
  5. Paste at checkout to complete your purchase

What You Cannot Do

  • ATM withdrawals: Not supported (virtual card only)
  • Physical purchases: Cannot insert at point of sale (no physical card yet), however payWave is available via Apple Pay and Google Wallet

Fees

  • Transaction fee: 1.5% charged on each purchase
  • Top-up fees: None (you only pay network gas fees to your wallet provider)
  • Monthly fees: None
  • Inactivity fees: None

Managing Your Card

Viewing Card Details

Access your card details securely through the Vield web app:

  • Card number
  • Expiry date
  • CVV
  • Current balance
  • Transaction history

Transaction History

View all card transactions in the app, including:

  • Merchant name
  • Date and time
  • Amount in AUD
  • USDC conversion rate
  • Transaction fee

Lost or Stolen Device

If your mobile device is lost or stolen:

  1. Log in to the Vield web app from another device
  2. Click the 'Card' tab
  3. Click 'Report'
  4. Submit your request
  5. Your card will be automatically suspended

Once your device is found: Contact support@vield.io to reactivate your card.

Unauthorised transaction

To report unauthorised transaction:

  1. Log in to the Vield web app
  2. Click the 'Card' tab
  3. Click 'Report'
  4. Submit your request
  5. A specialist will investigate the transaction and will contact you with an update.

Card Security

Non-Custodial Control

You maintain complete control of your funds:

  • Your crypto stays in your DeFi wallet until you transfer it to the card
  • You decide when and how much to top up
  • Vield cannot access your wallet without your authorization

Best Practices

  • Top up only what you need: Don't keep large balances on the card
  • Secure your wallet: Use hardware wallets or secure software wallets
  • Never share card details: Keep card number, expiry, and CVV private
  • Monitor transactions: Review transaction history regularly
  • Report issues immediately: Contact support for unauthorized transactions
