Repayment Schedule
Interest Payments - Quarterly
You must repay accumulated interest every 3 months:
- Month 3: First interest payment
- Month 6: Second interest payment
- Month 9: Third interest payment
- Month 12: Final interest payment + full principal
Principal Repayment
The full loan principal is due at the end of the 12-month term, along with the final interest payment.
How to Make Repayments
Method 1: Bank Transfer
- Log in to the Vield app or web portal
- Navigate to the repayment section
- Select Bank transfer
- Transfer funds from your bank account to Vield’s BSB and account number provided
- Funds are typically credited within 1-2 business days
Method 2: Sell Collateral
- Log in to the Vield app or web portal
- Navigate to the repayment section
- Select 'Sell collateral to repay'
- Vield converts a portion of your BTC/ETH to AUD
- The AUD amount is applied to your outstanding balance
Important: You must maintain an LVR of 65% or lower. If selling collateral would raise your LVR above 65%, you cannot use this method.
Your Repayment Information
The Vield app and web portal display:
- Total Outstanding Balance: All amounts owed (principal + interest + fees)
- Repayment Amount: Amount due for the next payment period
- Due Date: When the repayment is due
- Interest Charge Date: When interest will be charged
- Overdue Amounts: Any past-due amounts (payable immediately)
Early Repayment
You Can Repay Early
You may repay part or all of your Total Outstanding Balance before the due date.
Early Repayment Fee
- An early repayment fee applies as specified in your Loan Documents
- This fee compensates Vield for foregone interest
- Early repayment does NOT reduce fees or interest already charged
Partial Early Repayments
If you make a partial early repayment, your scheduled payment obligations remain unchanged unless Vield agrees otherwise. The early repayment fee may apply to the prepaid portion.
Missing Repayments
Immediate Consequences
If you miss a required interest payment:
- Default status: You may be considered in default
- Collateral retention: Vield may retain a portion of your collateral to cover the interest
- Default Notice: You may be issued a Default Notice
- Account restrictions: Your account may be suspended or restricted
Late Repayment Fees
Vield charges a $20 late repayment fee for personal loans and $100 for corporate loans each time you miss a payment. Missing payments may trigger the consequences above.
Default Process
If you receive a Default Notice:
- You have 30 days to remedy the loan by paying down a portion or all of your outstanding loan
- Vield may take enforcement action under the loan agreement
- If the loan is not repaid, Vield may retain your collateral
Repayment Application
Vield may apply any repayment you make to any part of your Total Outstanding Balance in any order Vield chooses (principal, interest, fees, enforcement expenses).
Demand for Repayment
Vield may demand that you repay the whole or part of your Total Outstanding Loan Amount at any time by giving you 30 days' prior written notice. You do not need to be in default for Vield to do this. You must repay the demanded amount at the time specified.
End of Loan Term
At the end of the 12-month term:
- You must repay your Total Outstanding Balance (principal + final interest + any fees)
- The due date is specified in your Loan Documents
- You have a 5 business day grace period for this final payment
- Once repaid in full, your collateral will be returned to your nominated wallet within 2 business days
