  • Mobile app: Available on Android and iPhone

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your account details confidential
  • All activity on your account
  • Never sharing your password with anyone
  • Logging out after each session on shared devices

Password Security

Creating a Strong Password

  • Minimum length: At least 12 characters
  • Use a mix: Uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
  • Avoid: Common words, personal information, sequential numbers
  • Unique: Don't reuse passwords from other accounts

Changing Your Password

Change your password if:

  • You suspect unauthorized access
  • You've shared it accidentally
  • It's been compromised in a data breach elsewhere
  • As a regular security practice (every 3-6 months)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Strongly recommended: Enable 2FA for an additional layer of security. This requires a second verification step (typically a code sent to your phone or generated by an authenticator app) when logging in.

Recognizing Phishing Attempts

What is Phishing?

Phishing is when scammers impersonate Vield to steal your login credentials or personal information.

Red Flags

  • Urgent requests: Claims your account will be suspended unless you act immediately
  • Suspicious links: URLs that don't match vield.io exactly
  • Password requests: Vield will NEVER ask for your password via email or phone
  • Poor grammar: Spelling and grammatical errors
  • Attachments: Unexpected files or downloads

What to Do

If you receive a suspicious communication:

  • Don't click links or download attachments
  • Don't provide information via email or phone
  • Verify directly: Log in to your account independently (don't use links in the email)
  • Report it: Forward to support@vield.io

Suspicious Activity

Signs of Unauthorized Access

  • Login notifications for sessions you didn't initiate
  • Transactions you don't recognize
  • Changes to your account details you didn't make
  • Password reset emails you didn't request

Personal Information Management

Keeping Information Current

You must update Vield immediately if:

  • Your address changes
  • Your phone number changes
  • Your email address changes
  • Your employment status changes (for personal loans)
  • Your business structure changes (for commercial loans)
  • Your bank account details change

Information We Don't Need

Vield will NEVER ask you for:

  • Your password
  • Your private crypto wallet keys
  • Your seed phrases or recovery phrases
  • Remote access to your computer or device

Device Security

Best Practices

  • Keep software updated: Install operating system and app updates promptly
  • Use antivirus software: Keep it current and run regular scans
  • Avoid public Wi-Fi: Don't access your Vield account on public networks
  • Use a VPN: If you must use public Wi-Fi, use a trusted VPN
  • Lock your devices: Use PIN, password, fingerprint, or face recognition

Mobile App Security

  • Download from official stores: Only use Google Play Store or Apple App Store
  • Enable biometric login: Use fingerprint or face recognition
  • Don't root or jailbreak: These modifications compromise security

Session Management

  • Auto-logout: Vield automatically logs you out after a period of inactivity
  • Manual logout: Always log out when finished, especially on shared devices
  • Multiple devices: Logging in on a new device doesn't automatically log out other sessions

Account Closure

How to Close Your Account

Requirements:

  • Repay all outstanding loan balances
  • Settle all interest and fees
  • Provide crypto wallet address for collateral return

Contact support@vield.io to initiate closure. Your collateral will be returned within 2 business days.

Data Retention After Closure

After account closure:

  • Vield retains records for 7 years as required by law
  • This includes loan documents, KYC information, and transaction history
  • You can request access to your data during this period

Security Reminders

  • Never share credentials: Passwords, private keys, seed phrases
  • Verify communications: Always confirm emails and calls are legitimate
  • Monitor regularly: Check your account and blockchain wallet frequently
  • Report immediately: Contact support at first sign of suspicious activity
