Debt rarely arrives all at once. A card balance here, a buy now, pay later plan there, a car loan with years still to run. And sometimes a single expense lands that no budget was built for.
A Bitcoin-backed loan uses the Bitcoin you hold as security for one fixed-rate loan in Australian dollars, with interest-only repayments each quarter. Your Bitcoin is held in a segregated wallet uniquely generated for you and released once the loan is repaid in full.
Whether one loan costs less than what you have now depends on the rates and fees on both sides, so compare them first. The full amount you borrow is due in one payment at the end of the 12-month term, so plan how you will repay it. If the price of Bitcoin falls, you may need to add collateral or pay down the loan, and if you do not, some or all of your Bitcoin can be sold to cover what you owe.
